Pride of Dakota event held in Grand Forks

Grand Forks, ND (WDAY TV) - The Alerus Center in Grand Forks is playing host to the Pride of Dakota Holiday Showcase this weekend.

Grand Forks, ND (WDAY TV) - The Alerus Center in Grand Forks is playing host to the Pride of Dakota Holiday Showcase this weekend.

More than 115 companies will have booths, showcasing their North Dakota-made products.

Finding a unique gift can take some leg work.

This holiday season is here.

But more than 115 North Dakota businesses are under one roof, in hopes of helping ease your holiday headaches.

Kelly Wald/Department of Ag: “So it's a great opportunity to come and get all your shopping done in one place and support local businesses.”

In fact, 6,500 people are expected to attend.

Diane Ernst/Pride of Dakota Holiday Showcase: “I absolutely love it. You meet a lot of great people and it's just great.”

The holiday showcase is enjoyed by those buying and selling items.

What better weekend for women to get out and about, as the men in their lives take to a deer stand.

So whether you have a particular gift in mind or are still on the hunt - there's something for everyone.

They have spirit. They are shoppers.

Bringing together those who sell and buy what they love.

Ernst: “I think most woman love purses and I love purses. So consequently this was a great thing for me to do because I could have my choice of any purse I wanted.”

The showcase continues tomorrow at the Alerus center from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., admission is two dollars.
