Kittson County Central defeats Ada-Borup in 9 man quarterfinal game

Bemidji, MN (WDAY TV) - Minnesota 9-man quarterfinals, Ada-Borup against Kittson County Central, they had to clear the snow off the field in Bemidji.

But, the Bearcats didn't mind the delayed start, already up two touchdowns; Nick Kasprowicz breaks loose for the 57 yard touchdown run to put KCC up 19 to nothing.

That's the score at half.

After a long TD pass and an onside kick recovery, the Cougars are right back in it handing it off to Lance Ruebke for the short touchdown, Ada-Borup within five.

But KCC is quick, looking to add the dagger.

Takes it in from 15 yards out, there was no looking back for KCC, they win it 38 to 14.

The undefeated Bearcats will take on Grand Meadow next Friday at 9 am inside the Metrodome with the winner going to the state championship.

Nick Kasprowicz/157 rush yds, 2 TD: “O it means everything right now, we just want to keep going one game at a time and to make it to that level is an amazing feeling. We want to keep winning and hopefully good things keep going.”

Carson Thorsteinson/153 rush yds, 2 TD: “Well we had tremendous blocking and it was good we found the right holes and was able to do some work.”
