Minneapolis, MN (WDAY TV) - If there's one thing a hurting football team doesn't need is a short week, but that's exactly what's facing the Vikings,
Having to prep for tomorrow night's battle with Washington, with a host of starters out, including tight end Kyle Rudolph out with a broken foot, Phil Loadholt, Chris Cook and starting safety Chris Cook.
All of this adding to an already tough situation for the coaches.
Leslie Frazier/Vikings Head Coach: “Putting together our game plan together for this ballgame. It is very different when you are playing on Thursday as opposed to preparing for a Sunday afternoon game. A lot to get done today. Very, very important day as we really condense everything that we would do in three or four days into one day.”
Christian Ponder/Vikings Starting Quarterback: “Obviously my play will determine that on the field and I have to play better but again, my future is this game and hopefully once I have a good game Thursday that that will play out itself and I understand that we have eight games left in the regular season to do so.”
Washington enters this game on a two game winning streak.
