South Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - The story of hazing and bullying in the Miami Dolphins locker room has swept across football teams all over the country.
Where this story could be the most dangerous is the high school level.
A majority of high schoolers idolize pro football players, and when a story like the one surrounding the Dolphins surfaces, it's an eye-opener.
Troy Mattern/South Head Coach: “For a lot of kids those are role models for a lot of people. And to see that at the highest level is a little disheartening. We've been fortunate at South with the tradition we have is that we've always had real born leaders. They take care of those things where coaches don't have to step in and worry about those things."
Zach Kellen/South Sr. Quarterback: "We're all brothers on this team and I think we'd do anything for each other. Hearing things like that are terrible because things like that can't go around in sports.”
The Bruins are in the state semifinals this Friday night at the Fargodome against Minot.
