MEDINA, N.D. – A truck driver suffered minor injuries when his semi rolled Sunday after entering the median on Interstate 94 a mile east of here.
The driver, Narantasatsral Sharavish, 54, Alexandria, Va., was eastbound when his semi crossed the median and traveled eastbound in the westbound lanes for a short distance, according to Sgt. Troy Hischer of the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
The truck then returned to the median, where it rolled onto the driver’s side and came to a rest, Hischer said in a report.
The semi-trailer blocked the westbound lanes of I-94, but traffic was able to pass at a reduced speed on the shoulder. Hischer said authorities hoped to have the lane clear by Sunday evening.
Sharavish, who wore a seat belt, was taken to Jamestown Hospital for treatment of his minor injuries. Traffic citations are pending, Hischer said
