Glyndon, MN (WDAY TV) - Other schools on Highway 10 are also feeling fast growing pains, and asking voters to help them keep up.
The DGF school district also has a vote coming up November 5th on an operating levy referendum.
Right now, it’s struggling to balance a big increase in students and lower state funding compared to other schools in the area.
They hope to keep class sizes small, add guidance counselor resources, and improve technology....
They're asking voters to renew the existing levy, and increase the amount of funding per student by roughly $160.
Bryan Thygeson/Superintendent: “I'm very hopeful. I'm trying to be realistic, but this is all about programming for kids.”
The average homeowner will pay about $6 more in taxes.
Hawley and Pelican Rapids also have school referendum votes coming up on November 5th.
