Series tied 2-2

Boston, Mass. (WDAY TV) - Game four of the World Series Sunday night provided some great drama for everyone between St Louis and Boston.

Boston, Mass. (WDAY TV) - Game four of the World Series Sunday night provided some great drama for everyone between St Louis and Boston.

The Cardinals started the scoring in the third inning when Carlos Beltran ripped a single up the middle, scoring Matt Carpenter for a 1-0 lead.

Game was tied at 1 in the sixth when Johnny Gomes changed that with this three-run bomb to left. Boston goes in front 4-1.

Now, 4-2 in the ninth, Cardinals with a man on, but Koju Uehara picks off the runner at 1.

Boston wins it 4-2, series tied 2 all, thanks to David Ortiz who's been terrific in this series.

John Farrell- Red Sox Manager: “Even in that 5th inning after we scored that sacrifice fly by Stephen, he pulled everyone together for a talk in the dugout. It was meaningful. He's the one guy that people look up to. It was a timely conversation everyone had with him.”
