Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - The Bison head into the final month of the regular season still unbeaten, sitting on top of the conference standings and will get a chance to heal.

NDSU has a bye week this Saturday. It's second of the season.

That’s rare in the Missouri Valley as teams are allowed to play 12 games this season...NDSU chose to play just 11 after two long playoff runs and to keep them fresh for this postseason....

Craig Bohl- 97-32 Career Record at NDSU: “It'll be interesting to see how we respond and play against Illinois State. If you handle it incorrectly, bye weeks can hurt. You can come out and football team can either get better or get worse. We've handled those well; seasoned team. Every year is different. We're in hopes to utilize this week and prepare to play against Illinois State.”
