VALLEY CITY, N.D. (AP) — A man who was carrying a knife and two swords when he was arrested for cutting up a bathroom wall in a Valley City restaurant has been sentenced to five days in jail.

Authorities say 32-year-old Jon Henry Lightning, of Grand Forks, had the weapons hidden in his clothing when he was apprehended for the incident earlier this week.

The Grand Forks Herald reports that Lightning pleaded guilty to criminal mischief.

Valley City police were called to Johnny's Pizza about 6 p.m. Tuesday on a report that the bathroom had been vandalized. Lightning was arrested at the nearby VFW club.
