Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - This has been the most successful year in Davies football history and the regular season isn't over. A large part of that success is thanks to the dynamic duo of Aidan and Tristan Hartness, their bond, beyond football.

Sports is all about trusting your teammates, it is often considered the key to success.

Aidan Hartness: “It's just something so special I can't really put a name on it. Most people won't understand what Tristan and me have.”

Tristan: Hartness: “There is definitely a lot of trust, he always seems to find me and he knows that if we need a first down or something he can always come to me.”

The Hartness connection has been working well for Davies this season, quarterback Aidan is leading the East in completion percentage, while identical twin brother Tristan leads in reception and yards.

Tristan: “I think we have a huge advantage over other teams who are just maybe getting use to new receivers, new quarterbacks and we have always had each other to practice by ourselves.”

Good thing Aidan and Tristan have numbers on during the games, cause without them it's just confusing. Wait a minute Tristan, Aidan.

Aidan: “I just kind of go along with it if they call me Tristan.”

Tristan: “If somebody calls me Aidan I usually don't even tell them, yeah I'm Tristan; I usually go along with it.”

Jason Thielges, Davies Head Coach: “When they were freshman I memorized their shoes, because I kept calling them the wrong thing and I'd yell for one to come to me and it was wrong, now I can tell the difference.”

The other thing you might notice about the two is something they call their trademark.

Helissa Hartness: “It actually was their mother’s idea to grow out their hair, I just thought they would look really good with long hair, I think it works for them.”

Aidan: “It just sort of caught on and we started growing our hair out, it's become a trademark to most people.”

Tristan: “They just recognize us ‘cause they are those twins from Davies with the long red hair.”

Defenders have been seeing that red hair fly by them all year.

The twins have another quirk, when they stand together, as you saw Aidan is always on the left, Tristan is on the right. And you can see the brothers in action on Friday night as they take on West Fargo each team has a shot at the EDC crown, live coverage starts at 7 on 6-3.
