Moorhead, MN (WDAY TV) - Concordia College officials say they do not condone the actions of staff member who confiscated copies of the Concordian student newspaper.

The issue released last week contained a cover story about students' use of alcohol before campus events.

A staff member in the admissions office removed copies from the Knutson Center before an event for prospective students and families.

College representatives say that person acted alone.

Roger Degerman – Senior Director of Communications: "We don't condone that obviously, this was a great learning opportunity for that individual and all concerned, frankly, in this regrettable incident."

The papers were returned and apologies made to Concordian staff.

News editor Emma Connell says they are happy to let the matter settle after speaking with the admissions office.
