Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - People carried loads and loads of paper into Wells Fargo in Fargo this morning.
That's because the bank invited the Better Business Bureau to shred thousands of personal documents in order to prevent identity theft.
It's one of the easiest ways to eliminate the risk of fraud. But it's not the only way.
Vicki Lokken-Paverud, Better Business Bureau: "There's many, many things that they can do. Be careful that they are only using the internet in secure environment and not in public access of Wi-Fi. Not give their credit cards or identity information from a wallet to the public."
In this single event over seven tons of documents were dropped off.
