Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - The top-ranked NDSU football team is on comfortable ground right now, and that's on any road to a football stadium.

They've won 14 in a row away from Fargo.

But, it will be tough in Carbondale tomorrow, facing a Southern Illinois team that's coming off back-to-back wins against SDSU and Northern Iowa.

NDSU will try to get back to its balanced offense.

The Bison had plenty of success through the air against Missouri State passing for over 300 yards, but offensive coordinator Brent Vigen says the ground game will be key against the Salukis.

Brent Vigen/ Bison Offensive Coordinator: “We really want to be as balanced as possible and we really have had three lopsided games in a row. It's the old mantra take what they give us, I think the games have proven to be a little bit unique all to themselves, especially the way last week played out. I didn't anticipate that but I knew they would give us some opportunities and it just so happened that we connected on most of them and if we can continue to connect on most of them we will be all right moving forward.”
