FARGO – More than 1,600 Xcel Energy customers lost power Thursday morning for nearly two hours.
The outage started about 5:22 a.m. and most customers had power restored by 7:13 a.m., according to Xcel Energy.
The company said the outage occurred in an area south of Main Avenue to about 13th Avenue.
An underground fault is suspected, which may have been caused by moisture penetrating the rubber insulation surrounding a power cable, the company said.
