Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - The Fargo city commission has heard your vote, and Monday night, has decided to keep Second Street.
A few weeks back, the city asked for your input on a new flood risk project along the busy street.
Because of your votes, added green space and areas of productivity will be implemented along the roadway as well as the flood wall, which will help protect during peak flood seasons.
April Walker- Fargo City Engineer: "Green space is very important. Having an active green space is very important to all of the respondents that we heard from. And transportation is very important. So, maintaining the roadway in some form was very important to the public."
Fargo explained the city does have money set aside to move forward with this project.
