Minneapolis, MN (WDAY TV) - The Vikings had won 6 straight home games following a bye.

That streak came to a screeching halt this afternoon, in what Jared Allen called the worst home loss of his 10-year career.

All eyes were on Adrian Peterson, who made the start, just 2 days after the death of his 2-year old son.

Peterson telling reporters that football would help him cope with the tragedy.

But, he clearly wasn't himself.

Adrian Peterson – 2 year old son died Friday: "It's tough, you know. It's a crazy situation, anytime you lose a child, no matter the situation - it hurts. You can't even describe it. But, I have a good supporting cast surrounding me and we'll be good."

It sets up the stinker bowl on Monday night football next week, as the 1-4 Vikings visit the 0-6 Giants.
