FARGO, N.D. (AP) — A Georgia woman insists that she didn't purposely put North Dakota last on her list when she decided to visit all 50 states. It just worked out that way.

Susan Herman Alou on Friday received the Fargo-Moorhead Convention and Visitors Bureau's "Best for Last" certificate, an award the agency created in 2012 to honor people who make North Dakota their final destination in the U.S.

The bureau has handed about 150 certificates.

The 79-year-old Alou tells The Forum newspaper that while it was a coincidence that North Dakota was her final stop, she "wasn't really in a hurry" to visit the state.
