Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - A man who says plans for a Fargo diversion will wash out his farmland held a one-man protest at City Hall today.

Trana Rogne's farm in Kindred is in the staging area for the proposed diversion.

He spent the afternoon protesting outside City Hall as diversion meetings went on inside.

To demonstrate his point, he carried a money bag, representing $65 million to be spent for a proposed ring dike around Oxbow.

Trana Rogne: "We don't feel that these problems should be shifted from Fargo to other people. Fargo needs to deal with their own problem. They can do that by providing 100-year flood protection for Fargo and not worry about flooding us or wasting money on the ring dike at Oxbow."

Rogne was dressed as a golf pro and stood outside for hours.
