Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - This year's Bison squad is loaded with so many seniors, 24 of them, that's it hard for any youngsters to break into the lineup and get some quality reps.

But there is one getting more playing time, Bemidji product Carey Woods, who caught a touchdown against Northern Iowa Saturday, the first of his collegiate career. Woods has seen his playing time increase as the season goes along and his confidence has grown as well.

Carey Woods, NDSU Redshirt Freshman: "Excited when the ball was on it's way obviously, then after I caught it I got up and waited for the ref to put up his arms, he was waiting for me to get up with the ball and when he put his arms up it was surreal for me. It was something that I have been wanting for awhile. First couple weeks we where just trying to get use to the game speed and getting use to how other teams play and how much more physical it was now I've settled in kind of and gotten more loose. I've been able to use my techniques that I have been use in practice to help me out in games as well."

Woods is third on the team in receiving, the Bison host Missouri State on Saturday. NDSU will wear its gold jerseys; they're a perfect 10-0 in the 3rd jersey.
