Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - The Moorhead Police Department responded to the MSUM campus today as a few religious speakers engaged students in heated debate.

A group of speakers only identifying themselves as Christian began speaking outside of Ballard Hall on the campus around noon.

Some students objected to what was being said and began a heated exchange with one speaker after the man condemned many of the students.

Although it drew the attention of law enforcement and passing students, the confrontation never escalated beyond yelling.

Nicholas Johnson, MSUM Freshman: "People are regulating when they step up, people are pulling them back. People are being smart about it for the most part, I'd say."

The speakers said they came mostly from the southern United States, and are traveling across the country, speaking at college campuses.
