Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - More people than expected turned out to the FargoDome today for an event aimed at helping the homeless and at risk population in Fargo.

Project Community Connect provided free haircuts, healthcare services and meals for more than 400 people.

The event also helped people with food and transportation needs, employment opportunities and spiritual support.

A few people who have benefited from the services in the past, repaid the kindness today.

Mick Malaterre, First Connection, Moorhead: "Seeing people. Seeing them happy, going through, coming through our table. And, us, helping them."

The event runs twice a year. If you'd like to pitch in or volunteer, you can call 701-200-0855.
