Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - The state boys soccer tournament opens Thursday in Jamestown. For the fourth year in a row, Shanley enters as the top seed from the east. The Deacons are led by east player of the year, Conrad Hager. The senior forward has been a goal scoring machine in a Deacon uniform, and he's ready to finish his career strong.

Hager: “I like to score, I turn towards the net most of the time I get the ball and I look for an open pass or I look to shoot. We adapt to every team we play with our team, it helps to be with the guys you have played with your whole life.””

Danny Bruckbauer, Deacons Senior Midfielder: “I have been playing with Conrad since I was 5 years old, we just connect really well just back and forth, a lot of through balls and he is just really fun to play with.”

Shanley and Minot are the 5 o'clock game on Thursday in Jamestown.

Tomorrow, we'll hear from the 2-seed in the east, the West Fargo Packers.
