Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - After starting the season 1-3 UND may have needed just some fresh air outside the Alerus Center.

They got that in the form of a road victory at Idaho State over the weekend. It even got Chris Mussman to crack a smile.

But now, it's back to the haunted house, as the fourth consecutive nationally-ranked team enters the Alerus Center. Eighth-ranked Eastern Washington will be in Grand Forks on Saturday.

Defense is still a huge concern for UND - they're allowing over 500 yards of offense per game, but Mussman says everything needs to improve.

Chris Mussman, UND Head Coach: “You got to play better defense and better quarterback play, can't turn it over and we can't have 11 or 20 percent of our snaps on the offensive be mistakes and that's what it comes down to right now. For us, this is important to keep our fans in the building, keep our fans interested, to show our fans that we are making strides. We have potential as a football team, we can't just keep talking about it you got to go out and show it and that's important right now.”
