Police and family of missing woman ask for help

Lake Bronson, MN (WDAY TV) - The search is on for a Minnesota woman who has been missing since Wednesday.

Lake Bronson, MN (WDAY TV) - The search is on for a Minnesota woman who has been missing since Wednesday.

Family, Friends, and Law Enforcement Agencies spent the afternoon searching for 43 year old Dawn Carlson - of Lake Bronson.

Deann Carlson – Dawn’s Sister: “I would just appreciate any help from the public to help locate my sister Dawn.”

A simple plea for help from Dawn Carlson's sister Deann.

Authorities say Dawn has been suffering from anxiety and depression but that she has never done anything like this before.

Mark Wilmant – Deputy Sheriff, Kitson County: “As of yesterday on the 5th family came in and signed her as a missing person because there hasn't been any contact with her since Wednesday at 10am. Her vehicle is gone. and she's gone.”

Dawn's vehicle, which is similar to the one pictured, is a black 2001 Mercury Sable, a four-door Sedan with a dent on the passenger's door. The license plate number is 7-4-3-E-C-Y

Authorities spent the afternoon searching for Dawn's car, checking fields, farms, driveways and forests.

The search focused on the area between Karlstad and Lake Bronson, Minnesota. Those helping in the search included local and statewide law enforcement.

Wilmant: “Right now we're just worried about her safety and well-being.”

A concern that has law enforcement authorities and family members asking for help

Carlson: “Just keep your eyes out for her or her vehicle so we can find out the last place she's been.”
