St. Paul, MN (WDAY TV) - The Minnesota Wild had never lost a home-opener heading into last night's game with Los Angeles.

And things looked good for the most part, leading 2-1 heading into the third period.

That was until the Kings rallied to tie the game and then Jeff Carter scored in the shootout to give Los Angeles an extra point.

Kyle Broadziak- Wild Forward (FSN): “Feel like we deserved maybe a little better fate, but that's the way it goes; going to be tight games all year long… Bounce here, stick with that program, come and play like that; we're going to win a lot of games like that this year.”

Couple of opportunities we could have put pucks in the net in the third and didn't; hard to be disappointed in the game in the performance standpoint. We play like that night in, night out. We're going to win a lot of games.
