But don't call them rivals.

The Bison have taken over the lead role from the Panthers in the Missouri Valley Football Conference the last two years. UNI has won more league titles than any other team. NDSU has won back-to-back national championships.

Panthers coach Mark Farley says he's tries to shy away from the word rival, but calls NDSU "the ultimate challenge right now."

NDSU coach Craig Bohl says the UNI contest has been probably "the most heated game" for his team in the last few years.

Kickoff is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. Saturday in Fargo.
