Fargo teacher awarded as part of Office Max's "A Day Made Better" event

Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - A Fargo elementary school teacher started her Tuesday off with a surprise party.

Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - A Fargo elementary school teacher started her Tuesday off with a surprise party.

Office Max today awarded a fourth grade teacher, JoAnne Tvrdik, $1,000 in school supplies as part of the company's "A Day Made Better" event nationwide.

She is one of a thousand teachers across the country getting the honor.

The Madison elementary principal nominated Miss Tvrdik.

The donated classroom supplies include notebooks, pencils, folders, glue and other items for her students.

Tim Rheault- Office Max (Fargo): “In our business, we understand that we have back to school time and we see teachers come in all the time and buying supplies and they spend a thousand dollars of their own money and this is a way to give back”

Carol Rogne, a school psychologist with DGF is also being honored.
