Minneapolis, MN (WDAY TV) - The Minnesota Twins will stick with Ron Gardenhire for two more years.

Today the team announced they have resigned the manager to a two year contract extension.

The Twins just completed a third straight 90 loss season where again starting pitching plagued Minnesota and there are few pitching prospects on the horizon, but Gardenhire knows he's got the front office backing.

Ron Gardenhire- 998 Career Wins – FSN: “There is a commitment. They know what's wrong with this ball club. This isn't right what we're seeing on the field. So, I don't have to ask them if they want to make it better. It's a pretty simple thing here, we all want to make it better. Talking with Terry and I've talked to him plenty of times. There is a commitment here. There always has been to get it right and it won't change this offseason. We may be a little more aggressive because we see this. We know what our fans deserve out on the field. We haven't given it to them. That's our goal is to give it back to them.”

The biggest decision to make for the Twins, what to do with Joe Mauer.
