WATFORD CITY, N.D. (AP) — Authorities say hunters found a body in the Badlands believed to be that of a Hillsboro who has been missing since late July.

The McKenzie County Sheriff's Department says the hunters reported finding the body Saturday morning off of a forest road east of Highway 85 and about 3 miles from Duncan Templer's last known location.

The State Medical Examiner's Office hadn't positively identified the remains yet, but the sheriff's office believes they are Templer's.

Templer's family reported him missing July 24. Bismarck TV station KXMB reports that he allegedly told a family member he was going to kill himself in the Badlands.

Templer's semi was found at an overlook south of Watford City, which is nearly 300 miles west of Hillsboro. Several searches yielded nothing.
