A big key to the early season success for Terry Horan's bunch has been receiver Brandon Zylstra.

Terry Horan recruited Brandon Zylstra in high school at New London-Spicer in Minnesota. So when Zylstra found Division Two Augustana wasn't a good fit, he caught just one pass last season. Zylstra contacted Horan.

Brandon Zylstra- Concordia Junior (4 TD in 3 GMS): “I just called Terry and asked if he still had a spot for me and he said yes.”

Zylstra transferred to Concordia last spring and went through spring ball with the Cobbers. Now, three games into his Cobber career, Zylstra has made a huge impact. He's caught a team high 12 passes for an average of 23 yards a catch, with three receiving touchdowns and a rushing score.

Terry Horan- Concordia Head Coach: “He's a big-time difference-maker for us. He's "another level" type player. Zylstra goes to another level and he does it right now!”

Not only is Zylstra a big target at 6-3, 205, but his ability to make guys miss is rare for a receiver his size.

Griffin Neal- Concordia Junior Quarterback: “His quickness and shiftiness; he makes guys miss. He turns a short pass into a big play.”

Horan: “Unbelievable leg drive; a strong cat and shifty, great hands.”

Zylstra: “I love it here; feel at home. It feels right.”

If Zylstra continues on his current pace, he'll be the most impactful Cobber wide out in nearly 10 years!

Cobbers haven't won in Collegeville since 2008. We'll be there for highlights and reaction on Saturday.
