FARGO – Fargo police have cracked what they believe to be a long-running burglary ring after officers interrupted three youths who were trying to break into a garage early Thursday.

According to Lt. Joel Vettel:

Officers were called to the Madison area of north Fargo on a report of a burglary around 1 a.m.

Upon arriving, they spotted three suspects fleeing the area.

Two were caught almost immediately and officers later were able to determine the identity of the third suspect.

The three included two males and one female, with ages ranging from 13 to 15.

Vettel said police have determined the three are responsible for a number of thefts in the area and police suspect they may be to blame for many more burglaries committed in the neighborhood over the past several months.
