Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - A majority of Fargo's graduating students believe there's no place like home.

That's what a new study suggests that polled graduating seniors this past May.

The results were presented to the Fargo School Board Tuesday night.

It showed that 65 percent of those asked said they wanted to find a permanent job in Fargo, while nearly nine percent want to work elsewhere in North Dakota and nearly another nine percent are eyeing Minnesota.

So, what's the draw for high school students to stay close to home?

Tabitha Perish, Junior at South High School: "Lots of job opportunities. There's so much you can do and, just, the jobs are endless."

The survey also found that more than three out of four seniors planned on attending a four-year college... with another 12 percent planning to attend a two-year tech school.
