Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) There was a time when Travis Beck thought he would never play football again.

The Langdon native and NDSU standout was arrested and charged with felony assault over the summer.

Stemming from a fight outside a downtown Fargo bar.

The charges were later dropped.

He did plead guilty to resisting arrest, the 2nd time he's been involved with the law, but he tells me that he knows he's lucky that he still gets to play for NDSU and won't be taking it for granted.

Travis Beck- NDSU Junior Linebacker: “That thought crossed my mind, kind of gives you a new outlook on what you have kind of you forget what you had and now I'm back playing and I love it. I’ve made a lot of mistakes in my past just try to live in the moment and be more mature like you said and kind of be a leader for these younger guys, my outlook is different but I'm just excited to play football get back to my routine and my schedule and I think I've done that pretty well.”

Grant Olson- NDSU Senior Linebacker: “I think just playing and getting out there is a comfort zone for a lot of us, kind of like that for a lot of us on the team, no matter what's going on in your personal life you can let it go and play football and I think he's been doing that very well.

Beck has been dealing with a shoulder injury this entire season, NDSU plays at South Dakota State on Saturday.
