FARGO – Police arrested two men early Tuesday in connection with a strong-arm robbery in downtown Fargo.
According to Lt. Joel Vettel:
Officers were called about 2 a.m. to the 700 block of Main Avenue on a report of two men beating up a third man.
Police located the alleged victim, who was taken to a local hospital with injuries to his face. His bicycle and backpack were taken in the robbery.
Vettel said two suspects were later arrested in connection with the incident and are being held on the suspicion of robbery: Robin J. Heinonen, 22, and Charles T. Cree, 25.
Neither man has a permanent address, Vettel said. He said Heinonen will likely face an additional charge of refusing to halt for running when officers attempted to detain him.
