Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - When Brock Jensen signed to play at NDSU, I don't think people were counting on him being a record-setting quarterback.

But, then again they didn't probably think he'd lead the program to back-to-back national titles either.

Remember when this freshman quarterback trotted onto the field to replace an injured Jose Mohler against Morgan State back in 2010.

He passed for 3 touchdowns that afternoon.

He's thrown 42 of them since.

On Saturday, he passed Steve Walker for the all-time completions record which now sits at 538.

As Jensen puts it, he's learned a lot.

Brock Jensen- NDSU Quarterback: “Freshmen year, you're just trying to keep your head above water a little bit. You get thrown in the fire and just kind of see how you do. It's a never ending learning

process, so it's been fun to just feel the improvement and see the improvement over the years.”

Craig Bohl- NDSU’s Head Coach- “A lot of time you come into your senior year and you can say well, and you can rest on your laurels. He has not done that. He had a really good spring and off-season. He's throwing the ball well. He's making really good decisions. I didn't know he was up for that record so congratulations to him.”
