GRAND RAPIDS, Minn. (AP) — Authorities have canceled an Amber Alert after a teenager who was reported abducted in Grand Rapids turned up safe.

The Bureau of Criminal Apprehension had said that 17-year-old Christopher Merrill Lucas of Onamia (oh-NAY'-mee-uh) was abducted at gunpoint by three males who got out of an SUV in Grand Rapids around 1:15 p.m. Saturday. It was described as a black Suburban or Yukon, possibly from the mid-1990s, with tinted windows from the passenger compartment back.

Authorities had said they were looking for four male suspects, dressed in blue jeans, black ski masks and black gloves.

The alert was canceled around 5 p.m.

Further details on what happened and how the case was resolved were not immediately available. Police were preparing a news release but had not issued it by Saturday evening.
