Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - The Bison weren't the only ones getting nationwide love on College GameDay Saturday morning. The troll trophy for the Concordia- St. Olaf rivalry also hit the set.

Chris Fowler- College GameDay: “Because right across the border in Minnesota, Concordia College and St. Olaf celebrate the 40th anniversary of this thing: The ugliest and most irrelevant trophy in college football.”

Concordia's sports information director, Jim Cella, brought the trophy over before the Cobbers- Oles showdown Saturday afternoon.

Jim Cella- Concordia Sports Information Director: “They talked about troll and division three, Concordia and St. Olaf. Then, Chris Fowler reaches under the desk and pulls out Niblet, the Cobber Mini-Mascot, and says the Concordia Cobbers. And Lee Corso says I'm going with the Cobbers! At that point, you coulda knocked me over with a feather. That's it; that's my National Championship. I don't have to do anything the rest of the year. I'm satisfied.”

That's one popular troll. After making ESPN's College GameDay Saturday morning, it was up for grabs between rivals Concordia and St. Olaf.

13-7 Concordia in the 2nd quarter, when Bryce Hentges fields the kickoff at his own 15, and he shows a nice combination of power, then speed, going 85 yards for the return touchdown. Cobbers up 26-14 at the half.

Trailing 26-21 in the 4th quarter, St. Olaf appears to be going in for the go-ahead score, but Levi Hintermeister jars the ball loose. Cobbers recover and keep their 5-point lead.

Later, a bit of troll trickery for what proves to be the game winner: The reverse to Brandon Zilstra, who puts a move on one defender, and leaps over another at the goal line. 33-21 Cobbers with six minutes left.

They hang on for the 33-29 win. Concordia travels to St. John's next week.
