Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - A one-time free screening of a film detailing a local hero's role in Civil Rights history will hit the Fargo Theater on Sunday.

"The Road to Little Rock" screening, across the state and in Arkansas, tells the story of the 1957 desegregation of public schools.

Judge Ronald Davies of Fargo ordered that nine African-American students could attend an all-white school in Little Rock.

Terrence Roberts is one of the "nine."

He says the film contains rare footage and interviews, while asking some key questions.

Terrence Roberts- One of the “Little Rock Nine": “Why was it Judge Davies had to leave North Dakota to come to Arkansas? Why weren't the people of Arkansas willing to obey the law?"

You can catch that one-time free screening Sunday at the Fargo Theater at 7 in the evening.
