FARGO – One man was arrested after police responded to a report of shots fired in a south Fargo neighborhood on Tuesday.
Residents in the 300 block of 15th Street South reported hearing gunshots and a woman screaming around 4 p.m., said Lt. Joel Vettel.
Officers set up a perimeter around the house-turned-apartment building and were able to contact a man inside the house by phone.
After about 15 to 20 minutes on the phone with the officers, the man met officers outside and was taken into custody.
The man, Joshua David Sundseth will be charged with violation of a protection order.
Vettel said no one was seriously injured in the incident.
Police were speaking to the woman believed to be involved in the incident after the incident. Vettel did not say what the relationship is between the woman and Sundseth.
According to court records, Sundseth was charged in Cass County District Court on Thursday with terrorizing, a Class C felony and carrying a concealed weapon, a Class A misdemeanor.
In a 2008 incident, a Cass County judge ordered Sundseth to have no contact with the victim of a menacing case. According to court documents, Sundseth was originally charged with a felony, but pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor charge of menacing and was ordered to follow a doctor’s treatment plan and serve probation.
