Dilworth, MN (WDAY TV) - More than a dozen law enforcement agencies looked like they were involved in a frantic case this morning.

It ended up being a mock child abduction case in Dilworth. The scenario put a 14-year-old girl reported missing just before eight.

Investigators, police officers and Bureau of Criminal Investigations were just some of the forces called into action to help find the victim and her possible abductor: A sex offender.

Greg Warren- West Fargo Police, Investigations: “To gather all of your resources together and have a plan prior to the event happening, as we found, unfortunately, for some departments, that have had to live this experience not having things ready to go when this happens; you lose very valuable time.”

The scripted scenario wrapped up around noon with the young teen and the suspect found at Buffalo River State Park.

Authorities say the most recent high profile abduction in the valley was of Dru Sjodin in 2003.
