Moorhead, MN (WDAY TV) - Thirteen is a number that is often avoided, sometimes thought to bring bad luck.

On this Friday the 13th, we found a few homes and businesses in town with seemingly unlucky addresses.

If a realtor brought a highly superstitious person to this home, they might just run in the other direction.

It sits on the corner of 13th avenue and 13th street north in Moorhead.

But these brave souls moved here about three years ago.

Leah Hagen, Moorhead Resident: "Never crossed our mind that we were on 13th and 13th. So, I guess we never really thought about it. We just liked the house and that we were across from the park."

Fortunately for Leah Hagen, she and her family are not superstitious

Hagen: "Not at all, none of us are."

And the only bumps in the night around here are caused by their three young children.

Hagen: "We have a strong Christian background and to us, superstitions just are not part of our values or faith."

For Spencer Moen, the day is more lucky than anything else.

Moen: "I was actually born on Friday the 13th."

Interestingly, we found Moen working at Carpet Garage located at - as you may have guessed - 1301 13th Avenue.

Moen: "It is a coincidence. Not being too superstitious, I just think it is a coincidence."

Whether just coincidence or something more, there are some who take the superstition very seriously, choosing to stay at home on Friday the 13th so no bad luck befalls them.

Hagen: "I think today would just be another day. Things happen every day of the week."
