Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - Despite all of the high-flying action, there will be many heavy hearts among airshow-goers tomorrow in Valley City.

Last September, veteran pilot Bob Odegaard died tragically after the plane he was piloting crashed while practicing for the Valley City Air Show.

Now, a year, later, the air show continues on, but air show manager Mike Lerud says Odegard's legacy will carry on forever.

Mike Lerud, Manager, Barnes County Municipal Airport: “Bob Odegaard was a huge legacy to aviation in the whole state of North Dakota and helped promote aviation across the nation.”

Lerud says next year the Air Show plans on having a memorial in Bob Odegaard's honor. You can catch tomorrow's air show in Valley City for free. The show begins at 6 p.m.
