Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - No progress on choosing a site for a new City Hall in Fargo, after several key members of a committee were absent from today's meeting.

Those missing here are Mayor Dennis Walaker and City Commissioner Tim Mahoney.

As a result, the committee made a motion to delay the site selection of the new city hall building until next week.

Committee member Bruce Furness says although they weren't able to select a site today, progress was still made.

Bruce Furness- Former Fargo Mayor: “Next time, what I think we'll try to do is to identify a particular quadrant that City Hall might go into and then have some other criteria that goes along with that for the development of the Riverfront area and that sort of thing as well.”

The group meets again next week.
