Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - Local leaders in renewable energy are sharing how they're helping conserve energy.

City officials and business leaders are highlighting recent energy advances.

The roundtable, led by city commissioner Mike Williams, focused on local projects.

One of those is Dr. John Bagu's home, which has produced more solar power than it consumed since installing 30 solar panels a year ago.

Dr. John Bagu - NDSU Professor: “We will be only using with our two cars and house two thousand kilowatts a month, instead of the 46 hundred kilowatts a month we were using, before we did all this stuff. When you start going renewable, you start conserving energy.”

Other speakers included a design architect and a representative from MAT-BUS.
