Mooreton, ND (WDAY TV) - In Mooreton, North Dakota Monday: A chance to relive the past.
At the historic Bagg Bonanza farm, volunteers cooked up a Labor Day dinner and offered tours of the farm.
It was a chance to see the workings of one of the few restored Bonanza farms in America.
F.A. Bagg farmed thousands of acres with dozens of mules, and employed hundreds of workers during planting and harvest.
The 21 buildings that made up the bonanza farm have been restored through volunteer efforts the last 30years.
Terry Marohl- Bagg Bonanza Farm: “It is history and this is one part of history you do not see a part of. There were many in the area, but this is one that stayed alive and still remained; and good that it gets rebuilt.”
The volunteers are raising money now to complete the restoration of the Mule Barn, which will include a giant second level hay loft built for weddings and large gatherings.
