Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) -- NDSU head coach Craig Bohl said he knew the magnitude of this game going in, but he wasn't sure if his players understood the caliber of program they were up against.

Well, after becoming a national story overnight, the Bison football team should be well aware of the school's latest landmark victory, defeating the defending Big 12 champions from Kansas State.

What made it even more impressive is that they battled back from a 2 touchdown deficit midway in the third.

The Bison offense ended a 27 minute game-time scoring drought, when Brock Jensen hit Kevin Vaadeland for a 9 yard score to make it a 1 touchdown game.

A field goal got the Bison within 4, but it all came down to the final 8 and a half minute drive orchestrated by Jensen, who went 7-for-7 thru the air, and capped it off with a tough 1-yard touchdown run to put the Bison in front 24-21.

Kansas State got the ball with 28 seconds left, but captain Grant Olson intercepted the desperation pass, sealing the 24-21 upset victory, thanks in large part to arguably the greatest drive in Bison football history.
