BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — North Dakota's congressional delegation says more airports in the state are getting federal grants for construction projects and other improvements.

The Federal Aviation Administration is giving a total of about $1 million to nine airports. The Bowman County Airport Authority is getting the biggest chunk — $4.6 million to build a new airport to help meet the aviation demand in the western oil patch.

The Bismarck airport is getting $2.3 million and the Dickinson Airport $1.9 million for various upgrades.

Airports in Oakes, Tioga, Watford City, Casselton, Cavalier and Linton also are getting grants.
