MINOT AIR FORCE BASE, N.D. (AP) — Airmen and bombers from Minot Air Force Base plan to return home later this week from Guam.

The Minot Daily News reports about 200 crew members of the 23rd Bomb Squadron with six B-52s and the 5th Maintenance Group were deployed in March to Andersen Air Force Base.

Minot base spokesman 1st Lt. Jose Davis says the mission was for an ongoing military effort to provide a continuous bomber presence in the Western Pacific, which started in March 2004.
