BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — Four North Dakota airports set records for passenger boardings in July.

The state Aeronautics Commission says Dickinson and Williston in the western oil patch got a boost from additional flights and set records for any month. Dickinson had an 84 percent jump over the year and Williston a 220 percent jump.

The Fargo and Grand Forks airports both had their best July on record. Fargo's boardings went up 14 percent and Grand Forks' 17 percent.

Overall, the state's eight large airports saw an over-the-year increase in boardings of 13 percent. Aeronautics Commissioner Larry Taborsky says the number of passengers flying from North Dakota airports is now double what it was 10 years ago.
