Fargo, ND (WDAY TV) - Many see them as man's best friend, but one artist from Mankato is seeing them as artwork.

Brian Fink has been painting pictures of dogs since 2009. Each oil painting is about six feet by six feet on canvas.

All of the paintings are of real animals sent in by family and friends.

They are now on display at the Plains Art Museum, and staff reactions have been very positive.

Christian Gion - Interim Curator: “People absolutely love the work. It brought a huge smile onto the entire museum staff's faces when the work came in and we put it up.”

If you want your pet to be made into a painting, post a picture on the "I love your cat! I love your dog!" Facebook page, and there is a chance it could be made into a piece of artwork.
